1. How to report a problem

Send an email to nrg.ck.ua@gmail.com. The app can do it for you: More → Email developer opens a message with the device model, the iOS version and the Tubik build already filled in.

If you write manually, please include:

• your device and iOS version — for example, iPhone 14, iOS 18.4;
• the Tubik version from More → About;
• what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead;
• a screenshot or a screen recording, if the problem is visible.

A file that will not import or will not play is worth naming: its extension and where it came from usually explain the case on their own.

2. Adding your music

Where do the files come from?

Tubik plays audio files that you add yourself. There are two ways in: the add button in the Media tab, which opens the Files app and takes anything reachable from there — the iPhone itself, iCloud Drive or another storage provider — and the built-in browser, which can save a file the page links to directly.

Tubik has no catalogue of its own and does not search for music on third-party services.

I imported files and the list is empty

Check that you picked audio files rather than a folder shortcut, and that the storage provider had finished downloading them: a file that iCloud Drive still keeps in the cloud has no bytes to copy yet. Open it once in the Files app so it downloads, then import again.

The track has no title, artist or cover

Titles, artists, albums and covers are read from the tags inside the file. A file without tags — which is most of what comes from the web — is titled from its file name, and Tubik splits Artist — Title back apart when the name looks like that. Nothing is downloaded from the internet to fill the gaps.

3. Playback

Does it play with the screen locked?

Yes. Playback continues in the background, and the lock screen shows the title, artist, cover and the usual controls. Audio stops if another app takes the audio session — a call, a video, another player — which is how iOS works, not a setting in Tubik.

Where are the timer, speed, shuffle and repeat?

Sleep timer, playback speed, shuffle and repeat-one are part of Tubik Premium. The player itself, the queue, background playback and lock screen controls are free and stay free.

4. Subscription, purchases and refunds

I paid but Premium is not active

Open More → Tubik Premium → Restore purchases. Restoring needs no account, only the same Apple Account that made the purchase — this is the usual reason: a purchase made on a family member's account, or on a different Apple ID, cannot be seen from yours. If restoring does not help, write to us with the date of the purchase.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Tubik: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions on the device. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, otherwise the next one is charged. Premium features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are Apple's to give, since Apple takes the payment. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund ourselves and we never see your card.

Do I lose my music if the subscription ends?

No. Your files, folders and queue are yours and stay on the device. Premium unlocks convenience: no ads, the timer, speed, shuffle, moving and copying between folders, sorting, sign-in pages in the browser, themes and the alternate icon. Nothing that plays your own files depends on it.

5. The built-in browser

I opened a page and no audio links appeared

Tubik lists direct links to audio files — the ones a page exposes in its links, in its player element, or in its own download button. Tapping that download button is fine: the file lands in Tubik instead of leaving the app.

Starting playback often helps, because many players only load the file once you press play. It is not the sound itself that counts, though: a site that streams without ever exposing a file link has nothing to offer, no matter how long it plays.

The button at the bottom right carries the count.

A link I saw earlier is gone

The list keeps the fifteen most recent links for fifteen minutes. Links handed out by a site usually carry a session token and stop working soon after, so a row that outlived its link would promise a file that no longer exists.

A page plays but nothing is offered

Two different reasons. Some players never put a file address anywhere Tubik can see it — the audio is assembled in the browser itself, and there is no link to list. Others are encrypted, and those Tubik rejects by design: it does not bypass DRM, paywalls, sign-in or any other technical protection.

You are responsible for the files you import — take only what you own or have the right to use.

6. Your files and your data

Everything Tubik knows lives on the device: the audio files, the folder tree, the queue and the settings. There is no account and no server of ours to hold them.

• Getting files out: Media → Edit, tick the tracks or whole folders you want, then Share. The system share sheet takes them anywhere — Files, iCloud Drive, another app — free of charge. Selecting a folder shares everything inside it, including nested folders, but as a flat set of files: the folder tree itself is not carried over.
• Freeing space: More → Storage shows what takes room and can clear the artwork cache. Covers come back with the next import.
• Deleting everything: delete the app. iOS removes its files with it, and there is nothing left on our side to delete — see the Privacy Policy.

7. Ads and privacy

The free version shows ads that Google selects; Premium removes them and the requests behind them. Websites you open in the built-in browser carry their own ads and trackers — those belong to the sites, and Premium does not touch them.
